There’s a whiff of emo about Jordan’s Emad Alaeddin. Perhaps it’s his ever-so-slightly-nasal voice, or the heart-tugging backing vocals that creep in during the single’s crescendo. But while the lyrics are a little obvious, Alaeddin’s clear conviction and earnest delivery stops short of twee.
