Bauer's Back: Watch the New Teaser for '24: Live Another Day'

As the new teaser for 24: Live Another Day makes resoundingly clear, #JackIsBack. This upcoming "12-part series event" features exiled former CIA agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) on the run in London, attempting to stifle the assassination of American president James Heller (William Devane) – and prevent a possible world war. 

The trailer is only 30 seconds long, but it packs a lot of tense one-liners and previews some expansive action sequences. Some highlights include CIA agent Steve Harris (Benjamin Bratt) monitoring Bauer's movements on a security camera and the president's Chief of Staff (Tate Donovan) coldly remarking, "Jack Bauer is a traitor – and a psychopath."

Live Another Day will restart the franchise, which concluded its eighth season in May 2010. Mary Lynn Rajskub and Kim Raver will return from the original cast alongside new recruits like Bratt, Donovan and Yvonne Strahovski. The first new episode, titled "Day 9: 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.", will air Monday, May 5th on Fox. 

These are exciting times for the 24 crew, but Sutherland is also nervous about the prospect of screwing up the show's legacy. "We made eight very strong years," he said last month during a press conference, according to Entertainment Weekly. "To open that up again and make 12 episodes and not make them the best 12 we have ever made is frightening. I'm about as anxious and wound up as I've been in a long time."
